Community Guidelines

Last updated: Septempber 09, 2022

Introduction

At alulu, we help people express themselves, enjoy and learn about the world, and have fun together. We created these Community Guidelines to support our mission by encouraging a wide range of self-expression, while making sure people can use our services safely every day. Our goal is for these Guidelines to be clear and easy to understand for everyone in our community.

These Guidelines apply to all content (which includes all forms of communication, like video, text, images, links or attachments, and stickers) on alulu — and to all users, equally. In certain cases, we will not take action against content that is newsworthy, factual, and of general interest to our community.

We've outlined here and in our Terms of Service specific rules for content that is prohibited on alulu. We can't predict every possible situation that might arise, but the general intent of these rules is to keep alulu safe and positive for everyone. If we feel that something violates that spirit, we reserve the right to remove it from the platform.

Sexually Explicit Content

We prohibit accounts that promote or distribute pornographic content. We report all instances of child sexual exploitation to authorities. Never post, save, or send nude or sexually explicit content involving anyone under the age of 18 — even of yourself. Never ask a minor to send sexually explicit content. Breastfeeding and other depictions of nudity in certain non-sexual contexts may be permitted.

Threats, Violence & Harm

Threatening violence against a person or group of people, or encouraging others to do so, is not allowed. This includes making threats of harm or damage to someone’s property. Images or videos containing gratuitous or graphic violence, including animal abuse, are not allowed. We do not allow content that promotes or glorifies self-harm, including self-injury, suicide, or eating disorders.

Harassment & Bullying

We prohibit bullying or harassment of any kind. It is not allowed to share another person's private information in private spaces without their knowledge and consent. If someone blocks you, you may not contact them from another account. If someone is depicted in your posts and asks you to remove it, please do so and respect the privacy rights of others.

Impersonation, Deceptive Practices & False Information

You are not allowed to trick people into thinking you are someone or something that you are not. This includes pretending to be your friends, celebrities, brands, or other organizations.

We do not allow people to share false information that could cause harm or be malicious, such as denying that a tragic event happened, making unsubstantiated medical claims, or trying to manipulate content for misleading purposes.

We disallow spam and deceptive practices, including imitating alulu or alulu Corporation.

Illegal Activity

Don't use alulu for anything illegal, like promoting criminal activity, cybercrime, or buying, selling, or helping to sell illegal or regulated drugs, contraband, weapons, or counterfeit goods or documents. We forbid the advertisement of restricted items or businesses, which include illegal gambling, tobacco products, and alcohol.

Terrorism, Hate Groups, and Hate Speech

We do not allow terrorist, extremist or hate groups to use our platform. We will not tolerate any content that advocates or condones violence. Content that promotes hatred, bigotry, or discrimination against people based on their race, color, caste, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status is not allowed on this platform.

You can always file a report if you see something that violates our Guidelines. You can do this by using our in-app reporting feature. We review these reports to determine if there is a violation. You can also take other actions to help keep your account safe, such as updating your privacy settings, choosing who can see your content, and blocking other users.

If you break our Community Guidelines, we could remove the offensive content, end or limit your account's visibility, and/or tell law enforcement. We work with global law enforcement when the activity endangers people. If your account is terminated for violating our Terms of Service or these Guidelines, you're not allowed to use alulu again.

We reserve the right to remove users from alulu who we believe, in our sole discretion, pose a clear and present danger to others. This includes leaders of hate groups and terrorist organizations, and individuals with a reputation for inciting violence or behavior that we believe poses a threat to human life.

Please follow these Guidelines carefully and adhere to them in the intended manner.
